The opening game for the brand new Stalwart team took on the year 2 DD Slaan. The pitch for most of the game was caked in a sweltering heat with no shade or water in sight. Over two halves both teams ran the ball up and down the pitch, with several players on both sides needing to take breaks. The first half the Dappled Dabbers attempted to rush the ball up the side, but not before swiftly meeting the fist of Steve Klubthumpa, reversing the advance. In the second half most of the Stalwart's energy was used up, with several players complaining of dehydration! But you know what they say, "There's no crying in Bloodbowl". The remaining players did hold off the Leaping frogs for several minutes before they managed to slip in the final two points. A great showing for both teams!

SCBB Season Three has kicked off and what a festive time it was! Six teams gathered at the stadium to kick off the opening games. The Kringlemeisters really attempted to spread holiday joy to their opponents, the grumpy frumpy vampires of Bloodlust! Despite the festive atmosphere, the vampires seemed to only want to pay attention to their "juice boxes"! Despite this, the Kringlemeisters delivered FOUR holiday presents to the vampire's end zone! This finally got the vamps in a more joyful mood and they returned the Elves' gift in the style it was intended!

The first pre-season game of the new SCBB Season Three kicked off over the weekend between a showdown between the Orctober Fiest's bruisers and the Kringlemeisters' jolly elves. And really it was all about a show off. Of the Orctober Fiest's brass knuckles. The elves were puzzeled as they couldn't find anything stating brass knuckles are allowed, but as the Fiest's fists pointed out, allowed or not didn't change the fact that they did exist! The strength the orcs brought to bear was too much for the new and festive wood elves, but they vowed to come back next game and jingle all the way!

Shoad’s Children win the Championship with 2-1 win over the Ding Bats. The vampires had no answer for the ghoul Karata who score both touchdowns, scoring the game winner on turn 6 of the second half. The lowly servants tried to keep their masters in the game with two casualties , but the vampires seemed disinterested in playing the game, and feeding instead. Congratulations to coach Dusty in his inaugural season. Can they repeat again next year?

The bright Chattanooga sun shines bright over a long sprawling match between the Dappled Dabbers and Ding Bats. The game was back and forth, with many thralls being knocked down in the thirst of will to get to the finals. The vamps managed to score on turn 8, even after the frogs jumped all over the map, bringing the long match into overtime. In overtime, the frogs quickly abandoned the line, running the ball up the line but not before the Vamps tackled the ball into the crowd! The crowd scrambled, throwing in right back towards the opposite end, and the Vamps knocked the rest of thier thralls down, scoring on Turn 8, finishing and staking Thier claim for finals!

Estelle La Veneaux joined the game on the side of the Dabbers, promised extra swamp ingredients should they win the game. Her curse proved vital as she prevented Drusilla from scoring, caught in a all too familiar trance. The frogs bolstered by her help kept their way to two touchdowns, even against the Almighty Nuffle dredging the ground beneath their feet, almost tripping both sides in the second half. The frogs take their first win of the season and advance to semifinals!

Shoad's Children knew they needed help against the crushing might of the Krunks. Their coaches deliberated over how to approach the game, and in the end, decided there was only one path to victory. They decided to call on the might of MORG N' THORG! The greatest Ogre in the history of Blood Bowl! Morg answered their call and took the field. Morg and the two mummies set up against the Krunkers in what would be an epic showdown... and then the game started. Latravius L. Latrineus, the frenzied Rat Ogre ripped into Morg and with an earth rending shriek punched through his armor, driving him to the pitch and ripping his heart out on the first action of the game. Not to be outdone, Donkey Teeth smashed one of the mummies to the floor so hard he had to be sent to the dugout to recover. Then Ay Ay Ron knocked the second mummy off his feet as well. Turn one was brutal to the shocked Children, but they attempted to rally. In the second turn, their second mummy got sent to the dugout by the fearsome front line and the Children were reeling in shock. The Kickers were able to pull out a fast score and a second score before the half ended. The second half had most of the Children back on the pitch, and they gave a good accounting for themselves. The pace was much more even as the redoubtable undead stood toe to toe with the forces of Chaos and slugged back hard. The end result was mostly a standstill though with the Krunks managing to score a 3rd goal to put the game away.

The slippery Slaan could not be pushed off the pitch- while the Strong and Mighty Orcs ran through and scored on both halfs. The frogs soon ran out of luck after finding many leaps throughout the first half, and ran out of rerolls in the second. IN the end, nary a injury to behold with a 2-0 win for Da 'Urty Boyz.

The first half was a violent frenzy as the Vampire tore through Dwarves as if they were wearing paper armour, before scoring the opener. The Chaos Dwarves mounted a quick response utilizing the speed of the bulls to create a gap. The Vamps did a rapid score and them the Chaos dwarves drove again carving out a pocket deep in the Afflicted's half. At this point their was one thrall blocking Capitalisms path, and he was blitz to the ground. and then it was time for the mighty Bull Centaur to leap over the downed player and sprint across the line only for instead of the graceful lines of a thorough bread arching over an obstacle, it was a cow clumsily collapsing in a heap against the sideline, The clearly partisan crowd throwing the ball back into the hand of the waiting Thrower Darak Von Check, who then threw his third completion for Drusilla to score her second touchdown. going from a 2-2 tie to a 3-1 on a single roll!

A quick TD by the DD led to an all out brawl. By the end of the game, only 3 players were spared the trip to the infirmary as the rest of the team had the Krunk kicked out of them. The game was so brutal that even Ay Ay Ron knocked himself out! With the dust settled and frogs squashed, the Krunkers graciously decided to not put everyone into the dirt. They walked away with a 3-1 win!

Brutality! More Krunk Krunks Kicked! Though ultimately the Athan's Afflicted did win the game, it was a very painful one. One thrall is going to MNG, and one with a Niggling Injury and another with an Armor Bust. Those two guys are going to have to reach out to their HR reps for "post employment" recommendations!

First game of the Post Summer Season has kicked off. Two brand new teams, one of tough Orcs and the other of Chaos Renegades duked it out for a fairly uneventful amount of fisticuffs.

It is often said that great games come down to great plays. That's definitely the case with this League Semi Final game. Like in most Blood Bowl games, it was very much a tale of two halves. First half went mostly the way of the Wolves with them knocking off the pitch a mummy, wight and ghoul. From a casualty perspective, the second half swung completely towards the Poet's favor with numerous knockouts, including a savage fouling of the Wolves' Yeti (completely unseen by the ref). The beleagured Wolves' attempted a retalitory foul, but the Ref happened to be paying attention and sent the offender off the pitch.

Sadly, despite numerous complaints to the NAF about changing how scoring is awarded, casualties do not decide the game. Touchdowns do. The Wolves' called on a relatively new tactic for them - Passing. They scored in turn eight on the first half with a somewhat sketchy play that required a long pass (-2) to achieve. They succeeded! The Poet's got the kickoff for the second half and drove down to score and equalize the game at one goal each. This returned the ball to the dwindling ranks of the Wolves who promptly executed another drive containing another long pass (-2) and some extra rushes that miraculously saw them pull ahead 2-1. The Poet's received the ball back, and drove back down the field but couldn't quite get in range to score, ending the game about 1 square shy of the end zone.

Victory was awarded to the Wolves who also received a completely unexpected audit of their equipment and training regimes by a NAF auditor who kept mumbling "elfy bullshit" under his breath. Ultimately the audit came back clean (well, as clean as a Bloodbowl team can be!) and the Wolves went out to celebrate their victory with a night on the town!
